we have two puppies (I am aware of littermate syndrome; doing a lot to prevent that) and one of them has been constipated. They are pretty young and I think we unfortunately got them too early (we were told they were older than they were, they were adopted but through a weird path).
Anyway, they are miniature schnauzers. Both male, intact, and around 2-3 pounds. They both eat the same amount of food but one of them drinks a little more water than the other which is where i think the constipation comes in. I have added water to their food but i’m trying to slowly decrease their wet food and encourage them to eat more of their kibble so it can help their teeth. I am getting off track but anyway, pumpkin. How much would I give them? and is this a health long term thing to be in their diet? the puppies and our adult dog love it we discovered. just don’t wanna make the issue worse.
