Hi! So I had a vet visit today with a new vet that ended in them not being able to do anything so…. They prescribed Acepromazine 10mg and Gabapentin 300mg to give him before the next visit. I do plan on trialing it sometime this week as his appointment is next Sunday (14th).
I was curious if anyone has ever been given/used this combo before? He takes Prozac and I’ve been told to try Melatonin (also by the vet) but it didn’t do anything for him. He’s never taken anything like this or had trazodone before so I’m also not sure what to expect! My dog is extremely anxious and does awfully in the car and as can be seen now, too anxious for them to do anything at the vet. The only thing they were able to do (barely) was give him his rabies vaccine.
