I’m picking up my puppy this weekend and am still a bit conflicted on how to go about potty training. I live in an apartment in a city and unfortunately don’t have a yard or a patio/balcony so it’s complicating my options a bit. I asked my vet on their opinion between using pee pads until she has been fully vaccinated or allowing her to go outside and they didn’t seem to think taking her outside would be an issue as long as I am careful, but almost everything I’ve seen online said that she shouldn’t be going outside at all. I’m especially nervous since it’s a fairly busy area and lots of other dogs as well.
Much of what I’ve see also said NOT to use pee pads as it will set the expectation that going in the house is ok. I ordered grass pee pads from Chewy, so I am thinking that might be a good in between point for the time being, but still a bit unsure. Should I maybe bring the grass pad outside and have her use it there instead?
Would great appreciate any thoughts!
