We adopted a 7 year old Bichon called Jack yesterday. His family are moving to a country where import of pets is restricted. They are so heartbroken. They dropped him off yesterday to us. As soon as they left, Jack started sniffing the floor quite furiously, hes been doing this for hours. He was also making squeaking sounds. And he scooted/dragged his butt on the floor a few times. He wanted to stay by the front door. So my kid and I sat with him until midnight, telling him hes ok every once in a while. Then we got super tired, so we took him to the bedroom along with his dog bed. Jack was squeaking all night, poor guy, and he didnt sleep all night, neither did I! What can I do to make the transition easier for all of us? This is our first time adopting a dog!
