Needing advice for why my dachshund is randomly whining in the middle of the night

!!!! Advice needed for whining and barking at night!!!

We have a beautiful mini long hair dachshund named Hazel. She’s 18 months old and she’s always slept perfectly through the night in her crate/small gated area. As of 3 days ago, she’s woken up in the middle of the night, whining and barking. We have absolutely no idea why. All of her needs are met and there’s no signs of sickness: same energy level when she’s playing, eating her meals, drinking water, solid poops, running/walking normally, playing with the cats, excited when people are around, etc. She has two beds in her crate, water, her unfinished dinner, a toy or two, and always has a sound machine running. We make sure to get some energy out before dinner, after dinner, and we take her on a small walk before bed. I’m thinking maybe separation anxiety??

She’s also been whining constantly when she’s awake and around us. If we don’t give her 100% of our attention, she’ll just whine. We are really good at ignoring her when she whines during the day and at night, but last night, she was up for 2 hours whining. We’re thinking that since we used to let her in our room in the mornings before going to work (and now we don’t let her), that she just wants attention and misses being in our room.

She has been through two heat cycles and is getting fixed next Wednesday. She is so dramatic sometimes, but also incredibly spoiled because she’s our little baby🫶🏼 I’m so nervous that it’s just going to get worse before it gets better.

Also, she hates having any type of clothing on her body except a collar, so I know she’ll hate having a cone (and will definitely whine all night) once she’s fixed next week.

Any ideas on what this is happening and what we can do to help her stop whining???? We are exhausted and want to sleep, and we feel so bad if we’re not meeting one of her needs 😩😩
