Need advice on moving dog from California to Florida

I’m trying to transport my dog from LA to Tampa, and I’m struggling to find realistic options. My dog is over 20inches tall, so she can’t fly in cabin. It seems most airlines stopped checking pets in cargo, and it would be too hot anyways. I don’t feel right lying and saying she’s a service animal just to fly in cabin. JSX doesn’t fly to Tampa, and pet moving companies are thousands of dollars. Flying to LA then driving to Tampa will take too long, but it may be the only option. I’m at a loss here. Does anyone have any advice on how to best transport a dog cross country?

Edit: Thanks for all the replies! I plan on getting a one way ticket to Los Angeles, then renting a car and driving back to Tampa over a few days.
