My girl is getting old. I see her more and more struggling to get up. Shes gotten a bit bigger over the last year. In the last couple months we have had to help her up a few times. She still acts like a puppy, never has accidents, but my wife and I have shared some scared looks in the last year. We dont have a lot of money, and she is about 13 or 14. Shes always been spoiled with a steak bone and always has a yard to play in. Is there anything I can do to make her a bit more comfortable now that shes in her golden years? Ide love to see her hop in the truck like she used too, or at least struggle a bit less to get up. Ive thought about restricting her food intake since the weight is probably playing a role in her mobility, but I dont want her to be miserable if shes only got a couple years left. Shes a mountain cur/golden lab mix, if that helps at all. I just want her to be more comfortable.
