My dog Pepper is a 3yo lab/Shepard mix who was had a blockage. She may need to go into surgery soon if what they did today doesnt let it pass through. We want her return to home to be special, so we got a nice place set up on her favorite spot with her favorite toys, water, and an even more comfortable bed. Me, my wife, or the both of us will be sleeping near her for a new nights just so she knows she's not alone. What other things can we do so dogs know they are loved and safe? Lots of slow soft pets? Talking to them about their favorite things?
We just feel sad for her and want her to know she's going to be okay, we've never seen her scared before and it kinda broke our hearts dropping her off at the vet because even she knew something was wrong.
