I will (likely) be separating from my husband in the coming weeks, and will not leave without my black lab. Wherever I go, she goes. This was a very sudden development.
She has a bit of an anxiety issue, and I am so worried about how she will react to moving to a new home, where my husband and my step kids will no longer be. We will also be leaving behind our other dog – he's too big and barky (livestock guardian breed) to bring to rental, and it will kill me to leave him behind.
Do they adjust quickly? Will she be okay if I go to work? Should I try and bring her with me every day for a while? Will it be too much? I am hoping to move to an area that has green space to walk near.
I imagine this has been asked, so I apologize, I have been knocked sideways by all this and I have so much to sort out in very little time.
