Lost my late pup to parvo. Tips for welcoming home a new dog?

We’re planning to get a 7 month old pup with 4 shots of core vax and 2 shots of kennel cough vaccine. Already disinfecting our place before bringing her home.

Any tips on welcoming a puppy after losing previous pet from parvo?
