Leash training & counter surfing

I need tips. I feel like a crazy person when trying to walk my 6 month old Dalmatian puppy. She’s gotten better but I can’t enjoy the walks at all. I don’t even want her in a perfect heel, I just want her to listen when we are on walks and not pull. Any tips are helpful! I try the stop and wait until she comes over to me (so there’s slack on the leash), I’ve tried treats, I’ve tried it all. She does so well in my apartment and inside but the second we are outside it’s a nightmare. I know she’s still so young and everything is still new and exciting, but I’ve got to be able to walk her and get her some exercise. We only walk for 30 mins, and it’s a nightmare the entire time.

I’ve also been struggling with the counter surfing. Any tips on how to stop it? I’ve tried treats and rewarding her when she’s in the kitchen a lays down, but she is always jumping up trying to get things when I’m cooking and sometimes she will just wander in there and jump up to check things out. This is a behavior I don’t want to keep happening. To some it might not be a big deal but I don’t want it to continue.

Otherwise she does really well and has been so good. She’s incredibly smart but incredibly stubborn.
