I’ve only had one dog which was an alaskan malamute mixed with a german shepherd. I’m wondering if her personality was tempered by her gsd?

At the time, everyone said it's a bad idea for someone with zero experiences, but aside from her separation anxiety and stubbornness on walks, she was an angel. I'm wondering if maybe i just didn't get the full malamute experience, or having no comparison and being a cat person, her stubbornness didn't phase me
