So happy to be here!
We don’t know if our little guy is 9 or 11 weeks old; the rescue agency kinda ball-parked it. We just got him six days ago.
Today my husband and Walnut were standing near the porch, checking things out in the neighborhood, and he got to meet another puppy. Happy times! But then he did a Big Boy Bark and scared the doodle. The other people (who, just our luck, happened to be a retired vet and a dog trainer) said we have a week to correct that behaviour.
They told him a few other things we’ve been doing wrong and I really hope we didn’t break our puppy. Is this “bark window” a thing?
He’s enrolled in positive/clicker training and the first class is 10 days from now. I’m worried we’re going to screw up and lock in some bad habits.
