Is 3 days of pain meds enough for after spay?

(Not asking for medical advice. Just wondering if this is what is typically given)

I’m taking my 7 month old puppy to the humane society tomorrow to get spayed, and online it says they only give 3 days worth of pain meds. That doesn’t seem like enough for major abdominal surgery, but is that pretty typical? Just wondering if I should schedule an appt with her normal vet after those 3 days, in case she needs more meds.
