My almost 6 month old is fine in his play pen if I’m in the house but still has a really hard time when I leave. BUT when he’s in his play pen he mostly ignores his food/water/kong/etc. (even if I’m home). I’m wondering if an interactive toy might help, especially with him learning how to be alone when I have to run errands/etc.
I have one of those toys he can pull smaller toys out of that he really likes and will sometimes engage with in during alone time in his pen but I think he’s gotten bored of it. I was thinking of maybe getting a different version of this? Would love other suggestions. Do the moving toys work?
He’s a super light chewer. He has toys that are pretty flimsy that he’s had from day 1 and we’ve played with often and they don’t look chewed at all. I’d of course monitor any new toys he gets to see how he does with them.
(please no separation anxiety tips, I assure you I have tried All The Things and we continue to work on trying to build his tolerance).
