At the end of December my Pomsky will be 15-16 weeks old. We will be driving 15-16 hours out of state (this will be broken up over 2 days, with a stay in a hotel), then we will stay in a dog friendly Airbnb for a week, and then we will have the 15-16 trip back, again broken up with a hotel stay.
We also have a 7 year old Peekpom. It will be the 2 dogs, my husband, myself, and our 12 year old son.
How do I survive this!? What should we start working on now? (We are working on getting used to car rides already). Where should I train puppy to sit? My other dog likes to sit on the console between my husband and I or on my lap in the passenger seat. Are there other training things we should work on? Anything I should buy to take in the car to help him stay calm and/or be entertained?? How often should we plan to stop? Recommendations for hotels or specific things in an Airbnb to look for? Thanks!
