6 month old resuce. To be fair we've only had her two days.
She can be so loving at times but then she'll switch and she's biting and hanging off your clothes.
She chews leads, harnesses and collars to the point of destroying them.
She latches onto everything she shouldn't. I can't get her off them. Freezing doesn't stop her and she's got all her adult teeth so it hurts and I can't freeze for very long. Giving slack with the stuff she's chewing doesn't stop her, it encourages her from the look of it. Can't redirect onto her toys or food. She'd rather chew the metal of the lead than her toys.
I can't wear a treat pouch because she'll climb me to chew on it.
She bites me and my clothes, so I go into the other room for a few seconds and she's crying at the door. I come back in and she goes back to it.
I'm having to sit/stand out of mouth reach in the kitchen just to get her to settle.
If I try to train her, it's hard to lure her with the food because she bites and claws for it. She's also only responding if I have food and even then it's rarely. She knows sit from the rescue. Apparently they were teaching place but I don't think it got very far before we got her.
Any help would be great.
