I come seeking help ASAP regarding leg biting

hi everyone

we have a ten week 1 day old puppy, he is a whippet cross, we got him at 9 weeks

he is amazingly clever, house trained and most of the time sooo cuddly however he goes for trousers and subsequently savages our legs.

tonight he has been relentless, even when I changed into "non waffy" pants he has jumped and bit my legs incessantly and caused 4 cuts with blood drawn.

it really hurts and feels like a full force bite

I cannot stand still when he is biting so hard, saying "ow" makes him more excited and bite more. redirecting to a toy sometimes works but at this point I think it's making him think that biting gets a toy.

he isnt particularly bitey with hands or anything but the trousers situation is really getting me down. as he was clung on so hsrd I tried to move away and he started to growl (probably thought I was playing)

I really don't know how to stop this happening.

he has enforced naps, 1 out 2 in (crate trained) he sleeps from 10pm to 7pm with one get up at 4am (amazing I know)

please help how we can stop this asap

we don't let him anywhere near our toddler unsupervised and are having a play pen delivered but the fear of that happening to him is filling me with dread.

I have tried teaching off which he understands when he's not going mental

please help, I understand puppies bite, but this is different.
