How to treat a pup to be calm when she’s a ravenous fiend?

We haven't had a young puppy in awhile, and definitely take for granted how much easier adult dogs are. Anyway, this little lady is about 14-16 weeks old, just adopted a couple days ago. We're trying to work on her settling in a pen, because I can't watch her constantly while I'm working from home. But if she is alone in the pen she'll start crying and pushing it around. So far she only will nap is she can see someone (in crate or in pen).

I've watched some training videos on making them like their pen, but I cannot treat her without her going absolutely nuts. Acts like she hasnt eaten in weeks. Even trying to just feed her a piece at a time while starting to practice sit and stuff she just goes ballistic looking for every single crumb. Knocking the bowl over. Climbing up into my face. I'm not sure how I can practice rewarding calmness if one piece of kibble gets her super riled up for more. Even if she's just had a meal she'll freak out looking for more or sprint to eat the older dogs food. I'm just a little overwhelmed
