How to tell if my mutt has a double coat?

Hi so I have an australian cattle dog mix— I know that ACD’s are usually double coated but my girl is a mutt. How am I supposed to tell if she has one? She really loves the cold and snow- and rarely ever gets cold even in temps of 20 degrees or less. I want to know how to tell so I can stop worrying about her being cold 😭
