My wife and I are currently trying to rehome one of our two dogs. He is an 8 month old Shih Tzu and is a very adorable albeit noisy boy. We will be sad to see him go, but we have a second child on the way and don't think we can handle multiple dogs and a newborn baby. We would prefer not to send him to a shelter and are trying to rehome him directly to another family. My wife has found resources for doing that, but we are unable to find a way to pass his medical records along to the new owners without including our personal information that is on those records. Does anyone know how we can remove that info (is our names and address) from those records and ensure the new owner can't acquire them by simply calling the vet we took him to for all his vaccinations and asking for the records of what is now their dog?
