I have an 11 kg Indian Spitz who’s turning 5 in two months. She’s very gentle and has never bitten anyone…all bark, no bite. I’ve been brushing her for years, and she’s always been calm with my family. During the initial years , she showed some aggression when we touched her paws or genitals during baths, but she’s fine with it now. We bathe her every two weeks and recently decided to get her properly groomed since she has some knots around her neck and buttocks and has never had her nails trimmed. However, she barked at the groomers and wouldn’t let us put on a muzzle. They said sedation isn’t safe for small breeds as it could affect her kidneys. What should we do?..
