How to get my dog to stop bringing me his toys?

My dog keeps bringing me toys but never actually wants to play. We’ll be cuddling on the couch, and out of nowhere, he’ll get up, walk over to his toy bin, grab something, and drop it in my lap before lying back down. The funny part is—he’ll do this like 10 to 15 times in a row.

For context he’s a German/ Australian Shepherd mix and 3 years old.

Edit: To clarify, I’m fine with this happening a few times but 15 toys is excessive.
