My family got a rottweiler for Christmas last year! We were super happy and he bright so much joy to our lives, but he was a handful. Of course, not his fault, but our lifestyle was not conducive to him (we're always traveling/moving, and he had terrible travel and separation anxiety). Dor his benefit, we rehomed him around August ish, and the little updates we've been getting have been helping. He has a large family, a yard to play in, and kids who can keep up with him– from what we know, he's thriving and happy which eases the pain greatly.
However, I just miss him. Every dog I see reminds me of him and I get so emotional– he was my little buddy. I wish he could understand human language lol bc I just want him to know I love him and I'm thinking of him. Any advice on how to cope?
