I’m reading some of these posts from people who claim to take their dogs on 3 walks a day and I’m struggling to understand how. My spouse and i both work full time, 40-50 hours a week. Between our own routines and work schedule I struggle with finding time to walk our dog even once a day. We can’t afford a dog walker or day care either. I’m assuming that a lot of people walking their dogs multiple times a day work from home or have the ability to take their dogs to work? But I would specifically like to hear from people that have busy schedules and limited income.
For the record my boy has free roam of the house all day when we’re gone and plays/hangs out independently in the yard in the mornings when my husband and I are getting ready for work. He’s not destructive and is generally pretty chill, like he seems content just hanging out in the garage with us during the week. I throw the ball for him after work when it’s not super rainy. But with the rainy season approaching in our part of the PNW I just worry he won’t be getting outside much and I feel pretty guilty.
I’m open to any and all suggestions for how I can fit more play and exercise time for my buddy boy. Despite being a chill guy he’s still a two year old shepherd mix that would definitely appreciate some more activity in his life. Please be kind!
