My puppy’s last round of shots happened to coincide with my Thanksgiving visit to my parents in florida, so his first time taking a walk was in the lush grass and warm weather. He did great and didn’t seem to have any trouble going outside.
We got back home to Queens, New York a couple of days ago, and he is having a lot of trouble going outside. I don’t know if it’s the combination of cold weather and the sparse grass, but he’s only going if he really has to, no matter how long we walk him. Then, as soon as we get home, he goes on the pee pad.
I know this takes time, but I can’t continue walking him 6 miles a day in the freezing cold. I’ve tried taking a peepad outside, but it didn’t seem to help.
