I have a female german shepherd puppy and two adult dogs. One of them loves to play with her, but the other doesnt really like to play with other dogs. The problem is, the puppy loves to jump in other dogs faces and bark at them repeatedly until someone comes to play with her. She never jumps on them or bites at them until they engage in play with her, but she loooves to annoy them until they do so. My pit mix is very dog selective as he is particular about his personal space, so i want to stop the puppy from demanding play in such a rude/annoying way as to avoid potential issues and grudges between them. She has been around about 7 different dogs, but none of them will ever correct this behavior, and the doberman usually ends up playing with her and reinforcing it. She also wont do it while i have her on a leash, so i cant really correct her that way, and shes smart enough to know that if corrections are only coming from me, she can get away with it when shes out of reach. There have been occasions where other dogs slightly correct her (a quick growl or slight nip in her direction) but shes usually about the same size as them and doesnt take it seriously, which usually results in her barking at them more. Any tips for stopping the behavior?
