So. He has been super good and consistent waking up quite late, before we started working he usually woke up at 9am and then shifted into waking up with the first alarm around 7am. We have a semi consistent night time routine and are in bed at the same time every night that he knows by heart and he sleeps in our bedroom with us to keep him from rummaging through closets in the other rooms. We have been waking up, taking him out at 7 and feeding him consistently for a few months and now all of a sudden he’s decided 5am is the time for him. Daylight savings happened a week after this started so I’m not seeing the potential of that being the cause even though it definitely doesn’t help.
What do we do? Any tips on helping him get back to his normal schedule? It’s affecting both of us and our work when we wake up every single night at 5. We have just been taking him out for a pee and immediately back into the bedroom like we did when he had to go consistently during the night when he was younger. And it’s not like he’s a cute “ill just whine a little or lick your face to wake you up”. He will straight up body slam you until you get up.
