Help! How do I teach my puppy to be alone?

I picked up my 12 week old jack chi yesterday and she’s absolutely gorgeous. She is a complete velcro puppy. No matter what she’s doing or if I’m adamant she’s in a deep sleep, if i even twitch she’s straight up ready to follow me.

I’m working from home next week and then slowly going back into the office from the 12th Jan. We tried sleeping in the crate last night but after two hours of crying I did give up and have her on the sofa with me. I hope i haven’t ruined anything by doing that but we were both so exhausted I just didn’t know what to do. This is my first time doing this & I’m doing it alone. When and how do i start teaching her about alone time. I feel so lost and worried.
