I’m just wanting to know in other people’s experience what kind of toys/puzzles etc have worked best for their very active herding breed? I have a (supposedly, still waiting on a DNA test) patterdale terrier/border collie x American Eskimo puppy (15 weeks old) and he is definitely a crazy boy who is in need of a lot of mental stimulation. I have puzzles, snuffle mats, treat dispensing toys, you name it. But I feel like I also need toys that are good for him that don’t require food because I feel like I’m overfeeding him since I have to load up practically 20 puzzles over the course of a few hours just to stimulate his brain enough for him to relax. I have a lab x Great Dane/poodle (2 yrs old now) as well who definitely required a good amount of mental stimulation as a puppy but she was not quite as wild as he lol. He does also get 2 naps a day that usually last 1-2 hours to try and give him decompression time but if he’s not stimulated enough before the naps he has a harder time winding down in his kennel. I also do try to train him for 5-10 mins a couple times a day. So anyway, basically I just need some input on what ppl have used for toys to get thru their active breed’s puppyhood bc he’s draining everything I’ve got lol
