So I've been thinking about getting a second dog for a while now. My chihuahua/yorkie mix is 5 years old. She is my whole world, has severe separation anxiety (and just anxiety in general), and is an absolute velcro dog. She goes a lot of places with me and is obviously very used to being the only dog and the recipient of my affection.
Sometimes I think a puppy would be good for her, to have a little pal/companion. But then other times I'm worried that it will negatively affect her and maybe even change her personality. She's so sweet and loving, and I don't want that to change. I constantly go back and forth and I'm not sure what the right thing to do is.
