We live on 20 acres & have been seeing a stray Yorkie (5 pounds?) for a week on our land. I was finally able to start feeding him & trapped him last night.
He appears to be young. He has not been neutered. He is in pretty bad shape & I had to bath him. He’s pretty nervous around my husband & me. We are taking him to the vet tomorrow for a check up & chip scan.
We currently have the Yorkie in our utility room, separated from our 1 year old 10 lb. Chi mix. Do we need to be concerned about our dog being exposed to anything? Since he is current on all vaccinations, can they meet? Our Chi loves little dogs. I thought it might help the puppy feel more comfortable if I introduce them, especially since he’s been hearing our Chi barking at him for days, inside the fenced back yard.
