Was walking the puppy, Daisy Mae, with a friend (luckily not alone or with a kiddo) when a giant muscle of a dog ran from its yard, gate opened no leash, and attacked our puppy in the road. Her yelp was beyond pitiful.
She got bit right away and knew she didn’t stand a chance. I tried to restrain the other dog and it got loose from me to run and attack my puppy again. It was beyond comprehension. Owner was slow, inept and useless. We called animal services, obvs, and through a friend network are conferring with a vet. Fortunately? the other dog only had eyes for Daisy and did not bite my friend or me.
Daisy is and will be well cared for, however, I am curious about people who have had a dog attacked and what that looked like for you after for socializing with other dogs and her first walk post-incident?
