First trip to the emergency vet!

We took our first trip to the emergency vet last night! Our 5-month old pittie pup loves to eat everything off the sidewalk, and while we’re diligent about practicing “leave it” and “drop it,” sometimes she gets something that we don’t catch in time. Last night she stopped mid-walk and vomited a bunch of sticks and bile, and started hard swallowing and frantic licking…threw up her dinner, kept coughing like she had something stuck in her throat. Two hours at Blue Pearl later, they gave her Prilosec and said she’s fine. She’s still coughing occasionally this morning, but she kept her dinner down and has been OK otherwise…🙄
