When I got my first dog (a Pomeranian) I was told I should expect the worst stage from 4+ months to about a year, but in my experience she was much worse as a young puppy. She has given me a few scares as a puppy eating things off the ground and especially as a toy breed it is much more dangerous for her. But now at almost 5 months her leave it command is finally starting to stick and she has become so disciplined on leash. Her recall has gotten so much better. She no longer needs constant monitoring when free roaming the house.
I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! 20 mins of training on the leash everyday no matter snow or rain has paid off. Just wanted to share my win after months of very hard work! This sub always gave me great advice that helped me along the way, so thank you.
