My Amstaff mix of 8months has just started puberty and I feel like I’m back at square one with everything regarding recall, impulse control etc.
He used to be able to run around in the forest + on the fields off leash and I didn’t have to worry but now he doesn’t listen at all and it’s unsafe to do so. Obviously recall is one of the most important things you can teach your dog so does anyone have any tips on how to (re)establish a bulletproof recall in teenage dogs? I’m aware i shouldn’t have my expectations up too high for him as he’s just started adolescence with his brain full of hormones but are there any good training tips or games on how to work on recall everyday?
