Europe Travel

I have a fully trained ADA-compliant service dog that is 4 years old – we will be traveling to Germany this summer for an event, where, during our time there, he will be treated as a pet since we are not ADI certified. This does not carry over to airlines, so we will be flying together in the cabin there and back.

My question: how are we able to travel to multiple EU countries (Germany, France, Italy, and surrounding countries)?

We will have our ISO microchip with a rabies vaccination afterwards, USDA endorsed health certificate, and our rabies certificate and CDC import form for return.

I have heard of EU pet passports? I will be reaching out to somebody familiar with international dog travel (dog sports). If we plan on taking trains to other countries, I've heard larger dogs are often allowed, but sometimes may need to be muzzled.

Any guidance, personal experience, or references would be helpful as we discuss what is best for us!
