Dogs in Winter

I’m exhausted and don’t have the energy to play with my dog. I hate winter (we have it really cold and wintry here) and I’m too afraid to slip and fall on ice to walk or play with my pup outside much. How do I keep my dog happy in winter when I feel like I barely have the energy to do anything at all?

I wouldn’t say my pup is high maintenance- he is a Pomeranian for reference. He’s young and potty trained and I have him in training classes. He is great in his classes but I don’t know what to do when I come home from work and all I have the energy to do is sit and read or chill and knit. And he starts yapping or barking at me to do something.
