Dog Won’t Come Inside From Fenced Backyard

Hey! I have a 8 month old Doberman Lab. We’ve done pretty well at training him. He loves his crate (which we never use to punish). He knows all kinds of commands like shake, spin, roll, etc. He knows come, and always does it when we’re inside or on a walk (where we use heel).

But when we let him into our backyard to go potty, sun bathe, whatever, he never wants to come back in. We let him stay outside for a bit, but he never comes back in. I’ll say “come” around the backyard a bit, and he’ll follow me around. But the moment it’s to go back inside, he just runs away.

He gets almost daily walks, we play with him pretty consistently throughout the day. So I just don’t understand why he won’t come inside when we ask him to. Anything is helpful, thanks guys!
