We've had our dog for about 4 years now. She's always been good at night, just finding a place to settle and sleep and maybe looking out the window a couple times. All of a sudden, for the past couple of days, she has started acting weird. She's started whining at mine and my roommate's door. If the door is open, she comes in panting a bit and stands by the bed. She also gets drool/slobber everywhere. Today I found a sizeable puddle of drool that was clearly from panting in the laundry room.
What could potentially be the cause of this? How do we get her to settle down at night? She doesn't do any of this during the day.
