My dog (2 YO mini poodle) has been lifting his paw for the past few weeks, mostly when he’s waking up from a nap or has been sleeping. If he plays too hard he will also start lifting the paw. I took him to the vet last week & they said luxating patella, gave me rimadyl. I am on week 2 of Rimadyl and he’s still lifting it occasionally. Prior to this, he’s a very active dog walks a few miles a day and always is playing with other dogs. We’ve been trying to take it easy the past week or so to help heal.
Next steps would be an X ray which I’ll do this week or next. Has anyone been through this? Any tips?
