We adopted a 1yo dog who freaks out in his kennel at night. He doesn't LOVE it during the day but doesn't freak out like he does at night. Its all night he is howling, barking, whining. He needs to be crated at night for now as I am not yet comfortable him being unsupervised with out cats in the same bed.
I put a blanket over him with some sounds on the TV but no change.
Im not sure what to do, how do we make him learn to settle in the crate? Is it bad to let him cry?
