I need help coming up with ideas for enrichment! I rescued a disabled 45lb English setter/border collie mix. He has a bad hind leg that inhibits his ability to walk for long distances. I walk him 25-40 minutes or a little over a mile a day and that is about all he can handle pain free. I let him sniff for the entirety of the walk.
I know he is an active breed and that walk alone is not enough. I am struggling because he is not motivated by ANYTHING! I have taken him to dog parks and doggy daycare and play dates and he has no interest in playing with other dogs. He is also not food motivated. He will not do any type of puzzle or sniffing activity with a food reward. He does not play with toys or fetch or chew on bones. The only thing he likes is my attention.
