I know this has been discussed before, but the manufacturers are switching up their models, so I figured it would be worth getting opinions again.
I have a husky mix and a Rottweiler mix, so both larger and heavier dogs, with a girth around 32 inches.
I know a lot of people say Sleepypod is the only "CPS" approved brand, but actually there is at least one more that is, for some reason, not on their main page list. That is the Saker Bomber.
The Bomber is ridiculously expensive at $200, but I keep coming back to it. Problem is, there aren't a lot of reviews on it, as it recently replaced an older Saker model which got good reviews. I'd love to hear people's experience with any Saker car harness.
I also have on my short list:
-the Sleepypod Terrain (a new model they just put out)
-the EzyDog Drive
-the Ruffwear load-up
I had to drop the Thule harness as it isn't rated for dogs as large as mine.
How do you decide?? With the exception of the Bomber and the Terrain, there are lots of reviews and they highlight some really problematic issues with the other models, but the good reviews are really good. The Bomber and the Terrain don't have many reviews out there..
Any insight on the various models or advice on how to choose is appreciated.
