I have my puppy for 1 and a half month already, (he's 15 weeks) and i didn't think crate training was super necessary back then so i let him sleep whenever he wants for a few days. It was TERRIBLE mistake, once i got him in the crate he would start crying and whining all night long and it was super frustrating for me, i couldn't keep him there for more than 1-2 hours. I tried to put him in the crate everyday but he kept getting frustrated so i stopped for almost a week(?).
Right now i put him in his crate cause we have guests and he usually gets super excited. He didn't cry this time!! Like there was a bit of whining but it was quiet and he fell asleep pretty soon… I guess it gets better with time since he's not so suuuper clingy like he used to be. A little win for me
