Chihuahua- cold weather (indoors)

I temporarily have to stay with a family member that doesnt turn on heat at all. i also have to keep my dog crated while I'm away at work due to the family member not being trusted (nice but likes to feed dogs (big dogs) things they shouldnt and would do that with my dog. I have to stay with them for about a month and the room/area I'm staying in is about 60f. house is very old so cant put a heater in fear it might catch fire. My dog cant stay with anyone else because she has bad anxiety being away from me longer than 8 hours and she also is severely anxious and aggressive to people who she doesnt know and isnt familiar with so a puppy hotel isnt an option. I want to keep her in her crate but I want to know how I can keep her warm? she's a medium hair chihuahua. I have 2 massive blankets I thought about folding and putting over to cover the whole crate so the blanket wiuld be able to cover her 2x so itd be like her crate covered 4x. the blanket isnt thick but isnt thin. would this be sufficient to keep her warm? would a towel in the crate also help?

suggestions please?

another thing is I cant keep her out of crate while at work because this person would try take her out without a lease and she'd try run away and the person wouldnt be able to chase her she'd also think its a game being chased.
