We've decided we want to try getting our Sheltie used to wearing shoes! Our first attempt was with your typical rubber-bottomed booties with a Velcro strap (something like this), but they fell off constantly. It felt like we couldn’t really get her feet to fit into them quite right, no matter what we tried, and we even cycled through three separate sizes.
I think she’d like something *a lot* more minimal. Really we’re just hoping to keep her feet a little cleaner and provide a basic barrier between her and the cold/hot ground—she’s not a hiker, and we’re obsessive about picking her up whenever we think walking isn’t safe or ideal (or when she asks to be carried).
