my pup koda is turning one in 2 weeks and for the past month or so, he’s been refusing to go into his crate for bedtime. up until about maybe two weeks ago it would usually just take some coaxing with multiple treats, but now he straight up refuses even for high value treats and will actively flail around and fight me on it if i try to nudge him inside. what baffles me the most about this is that he happily goes into his crate any time throughout the day with no problem and the second i can manage to get him inside at night, he’s perfectly calm. there’s no whining, no barking, no trying to break out or anything. the crate isn’t too small for him, he has a nice orthopedic cooling mattress inside and he’s had the same blanket covering it since he was 8 weeks old. i’m really at my wits end here, i’ve actually cried a few times over this predicament, and i don’t know what to do. advice would be VERY appreciated!!
