Any advice for training puppy to stop biting?

12-14 weeks, mixed rescue (terrier mix? Or poodle mix? She’s gonna be medium to large and has coarse wispy hair and a bit of a beard)

I’ve raised puppies before, but this is another level of biting. I can tell it’s still playful biting, but when she bites down she REALLY bites down. Like draws blood, leaves bruises and imprints. I’m used to puppy biting from puppies I’ve raised before. I’ve even let a puppies gnaw on my hands or fingers before (not the best thing to do), but it’s usually only a bit sharp and not too painful and they grow out of it. This puppy really bites though. It’s like motion activated biting too. She see you going for a pet and she bites down. She sees you put your hand out for her to sniff or lick and it’s immediate bite. If you walk by, she will go for your ankles. If you sit next to her with no shoes or socks, she might be tempted by your toes. I’ve had her even sitting on my lap while wearing shorts and she’s tried to bite my calves or thighs.

Initial reaction to this was giving her a stern NO and moving away from her. I’ve noticed that this doesn’t work though because she gets even more ramped up and will start chasing you and trying to bite you more. It doesn’t matter that I’m only calmly walking away and not being reactive. The no and movement is enough. My most recent effort has been instead to just constantly carry around a chew toy with me at home. If she goes for me, then I just immediately redirect her to the toy. This mostly works. The only problem is when I don’t have a toy on me and I’ve forgotten to carry one with me. I’m also worried that redirecting isn’t actually teaching her that biting humans (especially that hard!) is bad
