Hi everyone. Our beloved dog Ivy somehow broke her back leg. Our vet is suggesting surgery or amputation but is leaning toward amputation since she may still struggle with pain after surgery and increased risk of arthritis. She is 9 years old. Has anyone had to make a similar decision and did you choose amputation or surgery? I’ll see if I can attach the xray in the comments. We just want to choose the best option for her quality of life.
